ME: Thanks for the yummy food

F-M-i-L (Huggin' me): Please spend Christmas w/ us.....

Me: I am leaving to Sydney on the 19th

F-M-i-L: Just spend Christmas w/ us.....

Me: ???????? I will be sure to visit you when I get back....

F-M-i-L: Is "My hun Initial - Insert Here" going w/ you?

Me: ???????

Tried hard to do my escape....succeeded!!!! Hugged, kissed on the cheeks....bye.....WHEW!!!!!

There must be something more to us than you and me
It must be tangled up somehow with destiny
I used to think the sum of one and one was two
But we add up to more, me and you
When we are close together it's so plain to see
Together we are better than we used to be
I don't know how to say the things I'm thinking of
But the something more I'm feeling must be love
I used to think the sum of one and one was two
But we add up to more me and you
I don't know how to say the things I'm thinking of
But the something more I'm feeling must be love

I am dreaming of a smorgasbord orgasbord Christmas!!!!!!

To those of you who have asked/called/written, I offer my sincere thanks for your concerns. Amazing how fast news gets around .... :-) Another testament to the general caring nature of all of my dear-dear-super-kewl friends……

We were talking about adopting children last night on the phone….and he said he would prefer to have nerds as children…..I was like HUH????? W-the-H???? NOT challenging at ALL…the kid(s) would just sit down and read books all the time..????? Geez….

But alrighty then…I guess have nerds as children is kinda-sorta okay…but pleazzzeeee not SUPER nerds…..OR not too gullible nerdy tho’….where they turn to be STUPEFIED kids who to be 25 yrs old and asking me – mom…what is a blowj? That would be ridiculously gullible…TOTALLY absurd…I would start thinking then if that would be normal or if they need to be rush to the nearest doctor for a checkup….???? But then we both agreed that through it all we’d rather have trained-to-be-nerd kids then untrained wild crazie children anytime…..WHEW!!! At least we agreed on something!!!!! LUV-YA babe - LOL!!!!

What I have come to realize that there will always be ppl who will just talk s**t about you…..dunno why….prolly bcuz they are just being crude or whether they are just loooovvvve to stir s**t up, or prolly it’s what they silently think to themselves...these people could be your friends (people that you know) or even acquaintances that practically don’t even know you…

No matter how nice or good of a person you are, it makes no difference…everyone will come to be a victim. I wonder if pointing out the flaws of others make ‘em feel better….after all everyone does have flaws…everyone does have things that people can say s**t about…..

Hence, for those people, read THESE signs:

And for those unfortunate victims:

On a different note:

Somtg definitely has taken an unexpected turn. a pleasant one? I’m flattered that “this no initial guy in H-town” has been asking a lot about me to some friends….. but I do have a fiancé that I do adore him deeply……

But upon speaking of the future, what my hun wants us to be…I got pretty scared to think about the marriage and all that comes with it...!!!!

Oh he read my post about the sorta “crush” I am had….he didn’t say anything but I think he wasn’t that happy about it…..but he knows it's harmless....

If there’s anything I’ve learnt this yr, its that some things are just meant to be kept simple, take it and accept it as it comes, and not pick at it to pieces and analyze every detail of it, and make things more complex than they need be. *Dont think too much* - Trust in HIM and put HIM first and foremost – HIM and HIM alone…!!!! I am sooo thankful that He is gracious, and His mercy endureth forever!!!

My hun ‘lil niece gave me some home-made gingerbread man cookies…..awwww…thanks and they were adorably delicious SWEETIE….he…he!!!

Ehmmmmmmm…being around his family made me feel really, really out of place….they tried to include me but I just didn’t feel right……weird huh? Cuz as y’all know that I am a talkative person…so I usually have no problem yak-yakety-yak away….but….with them…I just dunno what to say…!!!! I tried HUN…..**SIGH**

My Hun is all excited that Christmas is almost here.....and his work Christmas Party was y'day...he said it was pretty relaxing.....took him away for a lil' while from all of his busy work schedules.....meanwhile miles and miles away....I am getting comfy in my PJ....the cold weather continues.............

Random chat w/ my hun on one of the long distance ph calls:

Me: Tell me about myself, using 5 adjectives.

Huney: Cheerful. Cute, Fun, Intelligent and……ehmmmmmm….(after a very long while, thinking…)….Resourceful.

Me: Ok!! I’ll describe you with 5 adjectives? Dominant. Silly, Practical. Genuine….(after a very long while..thinking)…….Loyal.

I conclude it is always difficult to think of the 5th adjective but it is interesting really (to me at least, haha) cuz you’ll never really know how your closed ones think about you since most things aren’t articulated or acknowledged mutually. So he is still in disbelief that he is seen as dominant and I am pleasantly surprised to know that I am seen as a resourceful person. Try this with your loved ones and be prepared to deal with a slightly surprise descriptions about you. Haha.

BRRRRRRRRRRRR - ICY DAY!!!!!

Got this recipe from the Net and my hun made and approved it.... LOL!!

Nothing takes the chill off a blustery day like a bowl of hearty soup, and lentils make this one a nutritional winner. They're a good source of fiber as well as calcium, iron and phosphorous.

Ingredients

1 cup dried lentils
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 onion, chopped
1 medium red bell pepper, chopped
1 teaspoon fennel seeds
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
4 cups water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 cup plain low-fat yogurt
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Preparation

1) Rinse lentils, discarding any debris or blemished lentils; drain.

2) Heat oil in large saucepan over medium-high heat until hot. Add onion and bell pepper; cook and stir 5 minutes or until tender. Add fennel seeds, cumin and ground red pepper; cook and stir 1 minute.

3) Add water and lentils. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer 20 minutes. Stir in salt. Simmer 5 to 10 minutes or until lentils are tender. Stir in lemon juice.

4) To serve, ladle soup into individual bowls and top with yogurt; sprinkle with parsley.

Tip: For a special touch, top each serving with yellow bell pepper strips.

Christmas came early…. YEAYYYY!!!

The guy that I wrote about (who were gonna leave the company) had decided to stay…..after a week of long deep prayers/thoughts...........

Of course...everyone was hoping and hoping and hoping and hoping that he would change his mind and stay…and a few of us really were praying hard for him...even this guy (his tennis n golf buddy) who previously wasn’t a praying kinda guy…..WOW!!!

R – Homey G, home-skillet…., I know you haven't left, but welcome back anyway…!!!!

Another “Christmas present” for us is one of the lady who works in the warehouse was dignosed with cervical cancer a couple of weeks ago.

She went back for her biopsy and we sent her tons of prayers and her biopsy came up NON cancerous!!!!!!!!!!!! Never – Never – Never underestimate the power of prayers and if you do pray, believe and you shall receive it!!!!!!

A penny for my thoughts...

They used to be really close
Then in a last two years he changed completely…..the person had been told that his “current” friends only desire to gain something out of him…or what you called: friends with benefits….but he won’t shun himself from such a poisonous friendship. How does he maintain loyal thoughts when the obvious is so obvious right in front of his face? He is in denial and turns into hateful, lonely person…trying to defend the obvious with plausible excuses….

Unhappiness oozes out from him, people that used to be his “REAL” friends, one by one starts to disappear…

On the surface, everything looks good – NOT..!!!
People who have known him for ages see the hidden deep within the façade of unspoken words.

I feel for them....
What used to be “I’ll be there for you” has been replaced with “It’s my world now, and there are others in my life”.

It’s sad to see him spinning down to his lonely life….he has nothing to blame on but himself....

Started out with my apartment....and I mean that it is quite a new and nice apartment and all (except the fact that I got a SPY (cous of my hun) who lives in the same complex), but n-e-wayz... have not been living there for even a year, my toilet has backed-up TWICE!!!! YUCK…MAJOR YUCK! GROSS…WHAT-T-F**%!!! Geez that is way too gross…I am sooo embarrassed…but I have no idea why it keep doing that, except for normal use…LOL…..I have not put anything that wasn’t belong in there….YUCK!!! *($*#(*@^!!!!! You know I am sooooo embarrassed that I felt that I have to hide from the maintenance guy….from now on…I have been crowned THE QUEEN O’ BACKED UP TOILET!!!!!

Besides that…work is killing me….totally…geez…I have piles and piles of work and we have short month….I am also leaving to my Sydney vacation…n’ yeah on top of that the guy I was talking about is leaving the company in 10 days….!!!!! Again, I am happy and sad at the same time….we sent him tons of emails reminding him what his new uniform would look like…for real…he will have to wear this uniform everyday and oversee 600 people……

YEPPER people…he will be wearing a OOMPA LOOMPA uniform (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory)

BBBBBRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Temperature continues to drop....WINTER STORM!!!!????

HAPPY DECEMBER '06!!!!

Hangin out with my hunney is always somehow impromptu, but fun! He's always saying that I am mizz silly c'mon, he's the silly one.. Haha. With his amiable personality and forever-ready attitude, it's no problem for him to make new friends and find interesting things to do. Argh! The thing I hate about him is that he's absolutely scrawny! It seemed to me each time we see each other… he looked like to have lost his weight again. Hey babe! DO try the EXTREME carbo-high snacking regime I was telling you about. Haha.. look at me, you'll succeed in gaining some pounds if you heed my advice.

It feels a little strange to be so like... free. My babe is stationed overseas for 6 + months…which is sad. Today I was talking to “Barbie” and she asked me if I was worried that he would party up and get drunk and hook up with some random chick there. To be completely honest, the thought hasn't crossed my mind until she mentioned it, and I'm kind of 'whatever' about it. I know it makes me sound as though I don't care, but obviously I would. But I'm just not really one of those girls who are really attached and paranoid. It's not as if I don't care, but it's just like... not something I would worry about. I wonder if that makes me weird?

Sharing a secret ;) ssssssssssst:

I thought this guy in Houston is UBER Cute….EHHMMMM…I absolutely refuse to even put his initial….but yeah…just a silly crush….I must say…cuz HELLO BRAIN…R U STILL up there!!!! I DO have a BF (I am reminding myself)……..

OR

(He is just uber cute and nice…I like his shy smiles….I caught him several times looking at me and he would put his head down and smiled….sooooo innocently adorable!!!!)

I cried yesterday, I sure did! **SIGH** Got all emo and everything bcuz one of the guys whom I have much respect is leaving the company. He is a GREAT family man that I came to know and I considered him a trusting friend for a whole year now. Yep, he is one of a kind: a caring General Manager Human Resources, I mean a REAL caring GMHR who truly give a S**T about the employees. He tried his very best each and everyday to be there for them… such a great person….steadfast, level-headed, patience….etc…etc…I can go on and on....

I knew he was looking for another job, I knew that….he told a few of us….I knew about his concerns too, his kids in college, etc….….I knew about the offer, the decision…etc….and I am happy for him to find a better job but YEAH DEFINITELY will miss him!!!

He has been a great “brother” and a "father figure" who had helped me out sooo much during those times when I really needed someone to talk to….it is so easy to talk with him because he is one of a very few person who really tried to walk the talk….I have so much respect for him (I know I already mentioned it once!)….he is always willing to encourage people to walk through life with peace and understanding…he is a strong believer, a Christian and a mentor…. He reminded me oh so many times to pray and that to trust all my cares to God. He understands others becz he said that we all struggle with the same issues in one way or another.

We live in a crazie...crazie world....and sometimes the future looks more uncertain. We see devastation daily on the news and couldn't help to wonder what will happen next. Beliefs that we have held are now beginning to be questioned too. During times like these, it is easy to allow worry and dread to engulf our thinking…we need more friends like him who is always there to remind us about the fruit of the spirit : love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance...

I wrote him this email in the morning bcuz I want him to know that I do appreciate our friendship:

Hi R,

I had a long conversation w/ G last night…he told me that I should be happy for you and your fam…although he said he knows that I am sad and he said to tell you that he is happy and sad too at the same time. I think the main reason why I am sad is because I have quite a few kewl friends in this place but you are the "try-to-walk-in-Him-each-day" friend. You have been my Christian role model that have helped me (without you might even know it) to stay faithful to Him. Soon, I will not have that around me in this office anymore (much needed considering the environment). But then, G also told me that, I will have to rely more than ever on the Words now…true..true! Just sadly I won’t have anybody in this office that I could discuss them with.

Thanks bro, home-skillet, homey G for everything. God bless you and your family abundantly always.

Call-Me-Miz-M

YEPPER pretty much all EMO..GEEEZ…he..he..and his reply was short..he…he…I knew he was trying to be kewl about it not getting too emo…eventho' I could tell later on that day that he was just as sad to leave a lot of his friends……

His last word bfore I left: Peace out frying pan sister, or is that homey sauté pan, or maybe home crock pot whatever!

I would often call him bro, home-skillet, homey G…and he would always laugh and call me frying pan sista….LOL!!!
