Peace in the Middle East

According to New York Times, the Lebanese Red Cross counted over 27 bodies in the rubble in Qana (a residential apartment building) and estimated the death toll to be around 56. Most of the dead were reportedly children. It saddened me to read the news each morning about the war and the unrest around the world, as we all can agree that most victims of the war would be the innocent people including children. The children did not choose to be born in the midst of all these disasters and they were not able to protect themselves. I have an 8 year old niece and a 6 year-old nephew. And whenever I read the news about dying children, I couldn’t help myself thinking about the two, whom I love oh so dearly. We often take life for granted and fail to be thankful each day, unable to focus on the good things in our life. I wanna take a moment today to be thankful for the circumstances I am in.

Alright...this morning I wanna share a bit about good friends. I think they are really a blessing…life without good friends just wouldn’t be right.

One person that I knew since my college years, she has been there for me through the good times and bad (LOL!)…and I know that I can always count on her to be there for me and vice versa. When we both had a bad day, we know that we both are only a call away no matter where we are…..and when life takes that crazy turn (which is quite often..he..he), we always try to help each other to learn.

You pray in your distress and in your need;
would that you might pray also in the fullness of your joy
and in your day of abundance

When We Two Parted
by George Gordon, Lord Byron

When we two parted
In silence and tears,
Half broken-hearted
To sever the years,
Pale grew thy cheek and cold,
Colder, thy kiss;
Truly that hour foretold
Sorrow to this.

The dew of the morning
Sunk, chill on my brow,
It felt like the warning
Of what I feel now.
Thy vows are all broken,
And light is thy fame;
I hear thy name spoken,
And share in its shame.

They name thee before me,
A knell to mine ear;
A shudder comes o'er me...
Why wert thou so dear?
They know not I knew thee,
Who knew thee too well..
Long, long shall I rue thee,
Too deeply to tell.

In secret we met
In silence I grieve
That thy heart could forget,
Thy spirit deceive.
If I should meet thee
After long years,
How should I greet thee?
With silence and tears.

My bro’s bday is coming up (7/30)…..I must say that overall, he is a pretty kewl brother to me…but he can also be a pain in the *** too…he…he

I am counting months now…so glad August will be here soon. In Dec, I will spend the holidays in Sydney, Australia to visit my two other brothers, my sis-in-law, lovely niece and cute nephew. It’s gonna be a summery HOT Christmas….I was there last year in July and the winter there was pretty brutal. N-e-wayz,…I will have to stop now cuz I gotta start my day preparing some reports for the usual morning Production Control meeting.

In Loving Memory 7/20/2006

….when tomorrow starts without me,
Don’t think we’re far apart,
For every time you think of me,
I’m right here, in your heart.

All my past life is mine no more…
The flying hours are gone
Like transitory dreams give o’er
Whose images are kept in store..
By memory alone

About me!

I guess I'm what people consider "Quirky Character"

I've found myself mostly in the middle of the road, but I've enough quirky habits to be entirely normal. I'm probaly glad to be a bit more than ordinary, but then, I'm normal enough to fit in...., what do you think? he..he...sounds like a perfect balance to me!

Good one, someone sent me this to reflect!!

Ways to Reduce Stress:

  • Pray
  • Go 2 bed on time
  • Get up on time so you can start the day unrushed
  • Say no to projects that won’t fit into your time schedule, or that will compromise w/ your mental health
  • Delegate tasks to capable others
  • Simplify and un-clutter your life
  • Less is more (Although one is often not enough, two are often too many)
  • Allow extra time to do things and to get to places
  • Pace yourself, Spread out big changes and difficult projects over time; don’t lump the hard things all together
  • Take one day at a time
  • Separate worries from concerns
  • Live within your budget
  • Have backups, an extra car key in your wallet, and extra house key buried in the garden, extra stamps, etc.
  • K.M.S (Keep Mouth Shut). This single piece of advice can preent an enormous amount of trouble
  • Do something for the kid in you everyday
  • Eat right
  • Get organized so everything has its place
  • Write down thoughts and inspirations
  • Everyday, find time to be alone
  • Laugh and laugh some more
